Homemade Laundry Soap

Quite a few people have been asking about the homemade laundry soap I mixed up a few days ago. We're gonna be saving close to $70 / year by making it ourselves, which is a start. So here's the scoop! It made a (2) gallon batch and should last us most of the year. We'll see! I had my doubts, but 3 tbsp of this concoction does the trick. I was surprised to say the least. Just throw the ingredients into a big trash bag, shake it up and find somewhere to store it. We bought this glass jar at Walmart. I like it and I plan on making more once we run out.

3 bars Zote Soap, grated
1 - 4 lb 12 oz box of Borax
1 - 3 lb container Oxy Clean
1 - large container Purex Crystals
1 - 4 lb box of Arm And Hammer Baking Soda
1 - 3 lb box of Arm and Hammer Super Washing Soda

    1. It doesn't really make your clothes smell like anything in particular, but it takes all the smelliness out & cleans well, lol. I like it though!

  2. What a great idea! I wish I had access to the ingredients here in New Zealand!
