Sea Monsters Revealed

I was able to mark the first thing off my summer to-do list today. We spent our Saturday afternoon at the Museum of Science and Industry. I had been wanting to visit their Sea Monsters Revealed exhibition for a few months now. There wasn't as many *monsters* as I'd hoped for. Garrett thought there would be a great white on display. To our surprise, there wasn't. He was kinda bummed about it, but what they did have on display was still incredibly interesting. I have always been intrigued by the deep blue sea and all of its inhabitants. At one point in time, I was certain I'd become a marine biologist in my adult life. I'm still fascinated and loved the exhibit. Wish there would've been more to explore.

Hoping you all had a nice Saturday as well!

  1. We haven't had very good luck with keeping great whites alive in captivity. They typically only keep them for a few months at a time before re-releasing them. They've only ever displayed juveniles.

Yes, I'm way too much of a nerd when it comes to useless animal knowledge like this. LOL.

  2. Ooh, how interesting! I would have loved this exhibit because I thought I'd be a marine biologist when I grew up as well. I've always been so interested in sea life!
