Coffee shop hopping has become one of my most-loved pastimes. On our days off, Lauren and I have started exploring different local spots and it's been an adventure. Recently, we stumbled onto one of Tampa's hidden gems. It all started when we were on our way to a different coffee shop that Lauren had been reading about, but we left as soon as we pulled into the parking lot. Let's just say that it wasn't in the best part of town and we didn't feel safe (especially when an intimidating woman wearing a facial bandana started to approach us). So, I went to work looking up somewhere else to try as Lauren quickly got us the heck out of there (haha). That's when we found Felicitous Coffee & Tea House. Who would have thought, just one street over, we'd find a place as cool and eclectic as this one.
From the moment we laid eyes on this little purple and green building, we knew we'd found something special. Whoever had the idea to buy an old house, restore it and turn it into a coffee house is a-okay in my book! And if you think the outside is cute, just take a step inside. Hardwood floors grace each footstep as you make your way to the back of the building to place your order. Board games and books line their shelves, while unique artwork lay frozen on the ceiling. The friendly staff and cozy vibe makes for the perfect chill setting. There's even an outdoor patio area if you're in the need for fresh air. That's where we enjoyed our dirty chai lattes and lunch.
We'll be visiting this spot again. It's been my favorite so far.
