Excuse my "basic" autumn-lovin'-butt for a second, but its arrival is about a week away and I'm pretty stoked (as you can probably imagine). Bring on the pumpkin everythaaang! I'm kinda bummed that I've never had the pleasure of enjoying a real autumn though. We're talking about Florida here, but it's still my favorite season (besides spring). Plus, I'm technically an autumn baby so that's cool. A few more days in the oven and I would've popped out in winter. Glad that wasn't the case.
I'm sure I'm not the only one who seems to experience both a sense of peacefulness and rejuvenation when autumn rolls around each year. Maybe it's the crisp breezes or the homey feelings that accompany the season. Maybe it's the scents of pumpkin spice, cinnamon and clove. Maybe it's the rich, woodsy fragrance of sandalwood. Maybe it's all of the scrumptious food + beverages. Maybe it's the nights spent gathered around the fire pit with my loved ones. Maybe it's the feelings of nostalgia that beckon cheerful memories made in years past. Heck, maybe it's all of the cute clothes I get to wear (leggings and cardigans and scarves, oh my). Whatever it is, whatever causes me to feel this way, I wouldn't dare wish it away.
With all that said, it's mood board time! Haven't pieced one together in awhile :)
